i've tried to avoid this guy, because the very concept is terrible. basically what drauch said

/summon sunny d
/summon confetti

from this thread, i know ng fc is good (1 is best of trilogy except for certain parts of 2, and this is coming from a guy who likes 3), gng fc is a terrible port (ac is a fun experience), dd3 fc is good and i agree with the above, ss is good... should look at a list but fuck

Of course, the pin-point hit detection and massive character sprites probably doesn't help much either. Once you know what's coming ahead though it is not too bad. Pretty sure I've no-deathed it, although that was through a lot of practice and memorization over the years.
and since that's how the genre and video games in general usually work/s...

As the guy said in Ninja Cop (Saizou), "Business reasons." Well, maybe not business reasons, but at least it got the kiddies out of our hair. Well, some of them. I know there are some tack-sharp lads over there, but they've not got any direction. That's my main beef with the site: No editorial stance and what there is...is worthless.

HG101 is sort of like TV Tropes--a website staffed by people who think they're infallible experts despite not having the skill, knowledge, ambition or dedication to actually do any in-depth work and instead being content to just give some very general information that could just as easily be gotten by using an emulator (indeed that's likely how they do things like version comparisons).

It's a thing I hate about the internet... it allows ignorant people to spread their ignorance. What we need is some kind of oversight.

Is HG101 really that arrogant? I mean, they don't always get their facts straight, but I always just sort of took the site as "here's this game, what it's about, and some comparisons on versions." I really wouldn't consider misinformation as ignorance. I definitely see the grievance a lot of people have with the site at times, but I by no means hate them. They've helped me save a lot of time before with some information on PC games that wasn't readily available.

One of my friends used to go to their forums. He literally got flamed off just for pointing out a minor error in an article.

It was years ago, can't remember what the topic was called, but I'll look. You can probably find dozens of threads just like it tho.
