18. I've been a Raiden MK-II pilot since 2006?-ish, although I do recall the popularity of Raiden II cabs in the late 90s, I remember seeing them everywhere when I was a kid growing up in Los Angeles; stores, mini-marts, laundromats, supermarkets, you name it.

I have a leather jacket with this patch on it, along with 3 other aircraft patches.

28. Preparing for pieces to fall off.
I'd say I was approaching 29, but let's face it I'm not really going the other way..

I'm still the same age as I was when I posted in the other thread, 34.
35 in about 6 weeks.

I'm 21, can't believe there is so many people around my age. I've always thought the age ratio here was around 35 :D
Re: Don't be shy - tell us you age
I think the average is probably around that or older, but most of the older crowd aren't so willing to post in these threads for whatever reason. Can't be taken as de-facto, the place isn't a total playground (yet.)VHS-porn wrote:I'm 21, can't believe there is so many people around my age. I've always thought the age ratio here was around 35

Older really ? It seems a bit much but if it really is the case I'm even more astonished
Re: Don't be shy - tell us you age
Oldie checking in. 34, and feeling every day of it...

Re: Don't be shy - tell us you age
Come on, how the fuck does beeing 34 makes you old ??? I cannot wait to get there man
Re: Don't be shy - tell us you age
you get stuck in a rut. work, kids, wife, sleep. Little time for other things. I don't see what the out is, but I don't see any alternative either. Lately I've been doing 10+ hour shifts and just come home, eat a small dinner and collapse. rinse and repeat for the next day. I keep getting fatter and fatter due to the fact that most of my meals are from vending machines, convenience stores, or street vendors. I used to love to exercise, be active, go outside, etc - but lately I'm just too damn tired. Too much money owed, too much future to think about, and so many other people to take care of.
THATS how you become old at 34.

In a similar situation here. 29. University. 19 - 21 year olds everywhere. I can pretend I'm one of them since I'm lucky and look ageless. I was an idiot when I was actually 19 so it isn't that bad at all actually.PAPER/ARTILLERY wrote:29. Re: Don't be shy - tell us you age
I'm 22, but I really do feel older than I am. I think it's a combination of witnessing people close to me die young and the environment in which I was raised.
At the very least, I do seem to be regaining the energy I had back in high school (working out nearly every day is helping with this). Back then I was too broke to do much with that energy, but now I have almost too many options laid out in front of me, lol.
I just wish I had taken better care of myself right after high school; those three years of being a broke student really took their toll on me.

Yup, in the same boat myself. I can't stand this shit. People in my networking classes don't know what fucking DOS is. "Sir, does DOS stand for Dell Operating System?" Kill me.Astraea FGA Mk. Re: Don't be shy - tell us you age
Hey me too buddy, at first nobody noticed I was older. That was until I mentioned my wife, and my house, and my cats, and all the other things that come with being an adult. These young 'uns ain't that bad though, just some of them don't realise what a great opportunity university is, especially when their rent and living expenses are covered.Astraea FGA Mk. You guys attending university in your thirties, count it as a blessing. In my twenties I was too dumb and immature to realize how important it was for my life and didn't take it that seriously. I still graduated with good grades but I could've done SO much better. Biggest regret of my life.

Re: Don't be shy - tell us you age
Believe me I'm very grateful to be given the chance to do it now. I did start a course around ten years ago and due to being an immature teenager with no budgeting skills and a fondness for weed and beer, I dropped out pretty quickly. Not before i'd racked up thousands of pounds of debt mind you. Definitely better the second time around.Ruldra wrote:You guys attending university in your thirties, count it as a blessing. PS. I'm not quite in my thirties yet! 29 still.
