Hello all,
Earlier today I won this auction for a QED QCV scart to component convertor. Has anyone used this model with retro consoles with good results? I figured that QED (being a reputable-ish company) would produce a product at least as good as the CSY. Hopefully I was not mistaken. Hopefully, I also didn't overpay...
As you can see it comes with a 230v 50hz UK power supply. I would be much obliged if anyone here with the know-how could help me source one that would work on Canadian (North American) 110v 60hz mains.
Also, it doesn't pass through audio. Has anyone had a good experience with one of those scart audio breakout passthrough things?
Thanks all,
Gman

Re: Power Supply Help
It's identical to the CSY-2100. Same manufacturer. Price was ok.
You need a PSU with 7.5V, maybe 1A power and center positive. Don't know where you're shopping for electronics, but this is something every $10 PSU with adjustable voltages will deliver.

Re: Power Supply Help
Thanks Fudoh,
I'll look for something 7.5v with over 1A.
Its a rectified AC power supply I'm looking for right? Would a regulated or unregulated supply be better?
IS there a trick to finding the right tip (are they numbered or something), or is it just a visual comparison and try type job?
For audio extraction, will this do the job? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scart-to-Audio- ... 338000fd5c
Is there a difference in quality with these things, or a recommended, cheap source?
Thanks for your help, and sorry for all the questions!!!!

Re: Power Supply Help
If this is identical to the CSY-2100, this power supply will work.
I bought a CSY-2100 last week, and this is the NTSC power supply I bought off Ebay to use. It works great.
