RQ: Avoiding premature medal pickups in Raiden Fighters Jet

So as I'm having my slaves build up and absorb medals, I have difficulty avoiding accidentally collecting the medal before it's fully grown. Any tips?

Point #1: have standard medals for as short a time as possible vs X-Medals. Main goal with the floating medals is to unlock the X-Medals anyway, which won't attach to your slaves and look like the highest-value medals from previous games. Best way to do it is to have it unlocked within the first stage, ST thread for it should have more specifics.

Point #2: don't be moving left/right too much too quickly, 9 times out of 10 that's what's leading to you collecting it by accident. A bit of careful planning should be able to help out.

Point #3: consider delaying the time you pick up your second slave. Having one slave with a medal attached I find a lot easier to manoeuvre than with two, and the icons hang around on the screen for a little bit anyway.
