Just got a used jap xbox 360 jasper board, im using a setdown in the uk 220v down to 110v but the machine won't stay. It will power up for a second then turn off. I've always used set down for all my other import consoles but do i need a native power brick? And which one?
Thxs in advance

Re: Jap Xbox 360 + setdown help
how strong is your step down converter (how many watts max.) ? If you want to use an european 360 psu, you have to check the max. wattage on your japanese one and get a european one with at least the same watt output. The wattage went down with each board generation, you so need a psu from a jasper or older 360.

Thxs for quick reply. Setdown doesn't mention max watt just 220v down to 110v. Guess its not enough. I've turned it on about 5 times where it stays on for about 3 seconds has this done any damage?
Thxs again

Either methods will work..... and it's a STEP down not a set down.
One of my JAP 360's uses a UK PSU and the other JAP 360 uses a step down on the original JAP PSU - both methods work fine.
