Look better than all depictions of these I've seen before (outside of the very game). Are the golden parts painted, though?

I've seen several of those gold parts in my kids' sets, so not painted.

That's pretty slick, genecyst. Any plans to make an Ikaruga diorama with said player fightercraft and an end-stage boss duking it out against each other? It'd be something, indeed.

Tis a shame that Lego discountinued the custom Lego Builders program where you could choose the appropiate parts and they'd make it for you (albeit at a premium price, of course) but it was axed back in January of 2011.

thanks guys,i'm glad you like them. i'm quite proud of how they turned out.
By the way nothing is painted, all original lego pieces and for lego fans all "legal" techniques.
I don't think about expanding the fighters with a diorama, instead i'm doing some research for a couple of cave's ship to build.
i don't know if an evac helicopter or one of the ddp daifukkatsu ships.

anyway on the lego shop and store there are "pick a brick" services that allow you to buy the brick you need. Also you can buy them on websites like bricklink.com with more affordable prices.

thanks again for comments.

Wonderful! Would you be able to give a parts list? A PM would be fine. I would love to build these myself.

Very cool. My nerd wood is waking up, and I've not even finished my coffee this morning.

Haha, very nice.

I've been working on a figscale Ikaruga off and on for years now. Haven't ever found the motivation to finish it.

These look pretty simple, but they capture the spirit of the ships very well. Great job!

@majik989s: Find out the part list is quite a long work, i haven't build them in ddl so i don't think i'll never do that... :D but i think i'll post some pics of all the various parts in building phase so you can figure out how them are created. All the parts are quite common.

@softdrick 117: i worked a lot on keeping them small and simple, i've removed stuff more than add bricks.
by the way i've seen some lego ships on your flickr that are truly amazing.

Thanks for saying so. Nice to meet a fellow builder who's on here.

And yeah, I can really tell that you've worked hard to keep these simple. They look great without being overly complex.

Star Wars space combat LEGO game could be rad. That would effectively eradicate the usual problem of LEGO games - poor character animation (3D Dot Game Heroes did it amusingly better than licensed games).
