Any recommendations for Famicom to NES convertors?

Looking for one of those pass through carts, where I can play JP games on TOP LOADING NES.

Anyone have an Ebay link or Amazon link at one they can personally recommend?

I want to make sure it's able to handle the later games with the extra chips.

I have one, has worked with the few Famicom titles I have.. but not sure about extra chip compatibility tbh.

they're not much to look at, but I can confirm they're wired for the extra famicom sound channels (though you'd still need to mod your system to be able to hear them)

The official Famicom to NES converters that Nintendo included in the 1st-gen copies of NES Gyromite carts sold back in 1985 stateside are worthy of owning (as the actual Gyromite PCB is a Famicom one with a 60-pin edge interface encased inside a NES cart shell with the adapter terminating in a proper 72-pin edge interface that the original NES deck can readily accept). Perhaps you've got one lying around somewhere, why not open one up & see if a convertor is present? You never know if there's one (one handy clue is that those 1st-gen Gyromite carts will, indeed, weigh a bit more than the typical plain-vanilla NES game cart without a converter on-board). And if one's there, it's free for the taking...how cool is that?

They're sold on eBay from time to time & do the job just fine compared to the 3rd-party Famicom to NES cartridge converters out there in the wild. Of course, your mileage may vary with said 3rd-party Famicom to NES cart converter PCB.

as i understand it - and anyone feel free to correct me on this - the NES doesn't support the third party sound chips used by many developers back in the day, but with a quick mod it should work. Just search for "PowerPak audio mod"

It's to get Famicom Disk System audio emulated by the PowerPak to the NES. Nothing to do with Famicom carts or extra chips afaik.
