New Shoot Em Up Game

Currently I recently started working on a new shoot em up style game.
Currently it's not far enough in creation to preview but I came here to ask everyone what they would each like to see in this game.
This game is aimed to be a classic Spaceship game. going up constantly into enemies and evading being shot ofcoarse.
I plan to have only one main spaceship which can be modified and painted though however the player likes.
All weapons would be pretty generic going from a normal gun single shot. To immense lasers late into the game
I plan to have a campaign and a highscore mode.
Currently this is aimed at the android market

I'm making this in unity. Which means I can make it run on Iphone, Pc or android pretty damn easily. So if a pc version is wanted I will export one.
I just need ideas of features people would like to see in the game

Obtained rights to use some pre made sprites. Giving two ship previews to give an idea of what to expect
