I use a Madcatz TE Fightstick (old SF4 version) with a Crown CWJ-303A in it. I got really into Tekken earlier this year, so I put that in, and I really only have one joystick, so I got used to using it for everything. Anyone else playing on a Korean stick?

Has anybody ever used a stick by Exar? They use Sanwa parts, and it's a smaller stick, so the form factor is appealing to me:

I personally use a Qanba Q4, unmodified. Sanwa stick, sanwa buttons.
Not sure on the parts in my cabs, but I intend to try out a bunch of Seimitsu and Sanwa sticks once I finish getting them cleaned up. But I'll be sticking with Sanwa buttons forever, it's just really nice to have buttons that activate with such little pressure.

My current stick is a HRAP EX controller with Seimitsu LS-56 stick and a mixture of PS14GNs and the generic Hori buttons that are typically left for the "unimportant" functions. Was on the LS-32, but the throw distance wasn't the right feel for me.
...and I have a modified ASCII Playstation 1 arcade stick with PS14DN. Will need to replace some of the stick parts to closely replicate the LS-56 or 58 for a tigther feel.

Cherry MX Blacks and a few Seimitsu PS-14-DN. No stick.

I use various MadCatz TE sticks. All Sanwa (I'm primarily an FG player).
On my PS2 I use:

I use a Sanwa LS-32 with clear Sanwa pushbuttons
not sure how much I like either one, really, though they're obviously better than the 360 dpad/stick
what was really dumb of me was that I didn't remove the dust cover from inside the stick when I installed it
I just thought to myself "that really looks like the dust cover... is it?" and then decided not to mess with it. Hope that isn't messing up its performance any, but I doubt it would.

I play with...whatever comes on the Blast City panel with Sanwa parts, except with octagonal gates.
I also have a cheap modded MadCatz stick with parts from my original jacked up Astro City panel, I think a Sanwa stick with Seimitsu buttons, all really worn out and kinda janky but still better than the original MadCatz parts. Except two buttons cause I didn't have enough to replace all of them.
Other than that there's the matter of American style (like that one) vs Japanese style sticks, the latter tend to have much lighter springs and are much easier to move around quickly. If that X-Arcade was fine lag wise, you might've been slowed down by the heavier nature of that stick instead.

I'm not sure that counts as a "proper stick." From what I remember the parts themselves are Happ knockoffs, which might not be that big of a deal other than a worse feel, but the bigger issue I've heard of is laggy converters.
