Well, last weekend at the flea market, I scored 1 Mega Drive II, 2 SNES & 1 Master System II, (no AC adapter/wires or joypads) for 5.5 Euros all together.
I also found Spectre for the SNES complete mint in box & manuals, but the guy was asking 5 Euros for it so I did not buy it.
Is it worth it? I can always go & pick it up next week...

Grabbed today on Yahoo Japan - a Hopper Robo PCB. This is the second one I've seen in four years.

Which one is that, the OOT/Master Quest one, or the one with 1, 2, OOT and Majora's Mask? I found one about the time I got my cube, but paid more for it.howmuchkeefe wrote:I recently scored a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition for GC for $15 from a flea market. It didn't come with a proper case or instruction manual, but I was happy to find it.
It's not really rare but I did finally acquire Alien Soldier for JP MD. For some reason I have not been able to fathom, I can't bring myself to play it yet. It's standing on my desk next to my laptop for me to look at.

Robo Hopper looks awesome. Next time I fool around with emulation I'm going to remember to give that one a go.

My little bro picked up a copy of the SNES Dracula X at a rummage sale for $5 last year. And I found a Japanese Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight for PSX at a used game shop for $30 years ago...not rare online, but it's damn near impossible to find non-Dragonball Z imports here in the midwest USA.

Lightening Force for 99 cents (plus $5 shipping).

This one's not exactly "in the wild" but it's still a nice find. One of the local arcade collectors was having a garage sale today to get rid of a bunch of stuff. There wasn't really a whole lot there of interest (with the possible exception of a Galaga cab I probably would have paid way too much for) until I happened to come across an AirGallet PCB sitting in a stack of apparently non-working boards, but labelled as working itself. I picked it up for $25, and just as it says, it works perfectly.

Some finds of mine here in Holland:
I once found 2 boxed & NEW European 32X units at a toy store, got them for 50e. Sold one later for 65e, kept the other one.
US SNES + Profighter X2 32M backup unit: 25e off some guy at a market (he gave me 6 cartons of yoghurt as well, 'for the ride back')
The same market had boxes full of PAL PS2 Rez for 10e, I got one (this was before their price went up)
PAL PSX Rapid Reload at a 2nd hand store, 4e
PAL Saturn Jewels of the Oracle (mega rare release) 20e in an independent game store. Also bought R-Type Delta there for 18e.
Found a working PAL Mega CD + Earthworm Jim game in the trash
I was in Rennes (in France) once with a friend, and he found a *factory sealed* PAL Rez for the DC for 28e
And on holiday in the 'States:
-PS2 Gradius III/IV for $18
-DC Project Justice 2, $15
-SS Galactic Attack, complete, $5
-PS Gekioh: Shooting King, $5
-PS Viewpoint, $3
-PS Castle Shikigami 2, $10

Is it just me, or are all the games you're posting horrendously overpriced? I'd be looking to pay < 10Eur for cart only DKC for example.ST Dragon wrote:I can't forgive my self for not picking these up when they were on the shelves:
Donkey Kong Country (E) (SNES) - Cart Used - 15Euros
Gley Lancer (J) (Used with box & manual) - 10Euros
Mega Man X3 (E) (PSX) - They were asking 45Euros for it though!
Zero Wing (E) (MEga Drive) (boxed) - 10Euros

Latest curiosities:
A "Metal Magnum" cab. Very strange JAMMA cab indeed, monitor just rotates in place, takes about 15 seconds, nothing to open - just grab n twist. Really, the operator is supposed to tighten the bolts behind the back panel, but I've left them -slightly- loose and put threadlock on, leaving it free moving for home use. Those joysticks absolutely suck, I'll "do something" about them, but now I've got it I'm not sure I want to modify the cab and repaint it as planned - it's all original and very, very unique. Quite well specified inside actually - got an extra volume control, lots of space for boards, including two board mounting clamps. The screen is a giant 29", yet it went through our smallest doorway where many others have failed.
Metal Magnum
The other thing, mentioned in the hauls thread - is a Space Harrier upright. Again needs a little work (you can't move right for example), but I'll be getting to that soon.
