Seeing the customers' reviews in Google Play about Sector Strike was one of rare cases that made me have the "Don't touch me you filthy casuals!" feeling.

"A game that reminds me the old, good ones.". "So addictive.". "One of the best games of its kind.". And the list goes on. Why the rage? Because it's a half-ass effort for a shmup where all the stages are exactly like the first one with only the difficulty getting bigger gradually. OK, that works fine for old fixed shmup like Space Invaders and Galaga. But not with side scrolling shmup. We put all our work at the graphics (which are very nice with smooth animation and nice effects) and we forget to make the gameplay not to be so freaking boring. The more annoying fact is that even reviewers at sites for smartphone games are praising this sorry excuse for a shmup. I know that reviewers for smartphone games have shallow tastes but THIS much? Geez!
Even for smartphone gaming standards there are so many other decent choices (expecially for iOS). And of course we also have many ports of great classics. So stop hailing any crap they throw you at your face just because they are free and with flashy graphics. Beside Angry Birds this is the only time I felt so much rage for the fanbase of a smartphone game. 1 star rating from me for Sector Strike.

Re: Sector Strike
Don't you know that this game is also available on iOS, BlackBerry, and recently OUYA?
Sector Strike is a horizontal 3D shmup known for the bullet increase with sector and difficulty level, lots of purchasable items, and most infamously TONS OF STAGES!
I consider it a blessing that Sector Strike is one of the very very few shmups released on the BlackBerry App World.

I express my apologies for posting a bunch of mobile shmup threads in this forum in recent months, because some members perceive them as "spam." I have to redeem myself.

Re: Sector Strike
You are offended that some people like this game? Seems kinda weird to me, never mind your own opinion on it. Does feeling this way make you feel better about yourself, how you are more of an expert and were able to pick out more faults than the others? Do you need a hug?
Make a missile snap a bone gristle.
Re: Sector Strike
Why the hell do you guys keep promoting the worst possible platform for shmups, and some of the worst shmups on that platform?
