Hyperspace is a brand new free simple vertical shooter that is the work of 19 high school students aged 12-16 and their teacher named Greg Haybittle, all from Australia. According to him, this game is a work in progress. The only available controls are a d-pad and a fire button, and because of this there's still room for improvement including bosses, a little more bullets, and relative touch controls.
I'm hoping for iPhone/iPodTouch/iOS7 version of this free shmup... How about even a gameplay video for this?

I express my apologies for posting a bunch of mobile shmup threads in this forum in recent months, because some members perceive them as "spam." I have to redeem myself.
Re: Hyperspace (Free iPad Shmup Made by Aussies)
Thanks Hal1 for the fair and encouraging review of Hypercharge 1.0 and suggestions!
My students and I have already done a bit of work on Hypercharge 1.1 which has reversed controls (d-pad on the right) and much faster gameplay.
Hypercharge 1.0 was essentially a clunky BETA demo. We have bosses and much better controls on the way. We are also working on a code for a joystick and accelerometer control.
The best thing about this project is that it is being developed by students who play games ..... so by all means if anyone has any ideas suggest them and we'll get them in the game eventually.
We could end up with a pretty amazing game one day with all this gamer input!
Thanks again,
