DAFUQ!?

On topic, Rengou vs Z.A.F.T. II is the best on the series.
Federation vs Zeon and AEUG vs Titans are awesome, but the space stages are a pain in the ass sometimes.

It indeed was. At first it was originally Bandai+Capcom's attempt to make a Virtua On rival.

Ordered Federation vs Zeon yesterday (couldn't say no to a cheap PS2 Capcom game).
Is it a port of DX or some earlier version? Does it render the DC game obsolete? I see the PS2 version came out the same year as Ninja Assault console port, when I'm afraid NAOMI-to-PS2 porting still posed a challenge to some.
Is Gotcha Force anything like it? Apparently Atsushi Tomita worked on both.

The PS2 version of FvsZ it's an excellent port of DX. Doesn't look as good as the arcade version, but it's way much better than the DC port (which has an awful frame rate)

I've heard Gotcha Force it's awesome.

Hmmm.
some rumour on 2ch

-The PV will show the following new MS: Epyon, Geymalk, Striker Custom, G-Armor, Nobel, Colnigs
-These will be added to the arcade through VS events?
-Trial Mission footage showing fights against Big Zam and Shamblo, also Gaia, Abyss and Chaos as individual CPU foes.
-No set release date besides 2014

I hope Epyon doesn't suck ass like it does in Next. So disappointed when I played it in that one since its my favorite mech.

-Striker Custom, pilot sounded like Tieria, Demon Blade System as an mode
-S-Gundam, ALICE voice is heard along another beam fired together the main weapon
-G-Armor, Amuro is the pilot and it has many different modes

Epyon and Banshee Norn also seen

Is it known if all the DLC mecha from the original Extreme will be included on-disc?

Can't wait to unleash the Sochie/Corin Kapool tag team.

Supposedly yes (presumably including whatever that hasn't been included in the arcade version until now, like AGE-1, Striker Custom, G-Armor, and the highly-rumored S-Gundam).

Very late newspost:

http://www.mechadamashii.com/news/news- ... announced/

Also, all existing 1000 cost units are 'upgraded' to the new 1500 cost tier, F and S drive are melee and ranged respectively, they're activated depending on HP (enhancement/special moves while using awakening when low HP perhaps?), and...
-There's going to be a mode called Vs Conquest, which is basically a souped-up Arcade Mode. If you clear that battle, it lets you use new MS even before their official release date.

-There will of course be new stages, and the CPU Battle is being improved.

-There will be pilot intro sequences at the start of battles, and throughout the fight your MS pilot's mugshot will pop up from time to time, like when they quote one of their iconic lines.
AGE-01, AGE-02, Avalanche Exia, Char’s Zaku, Char's Z'Gok, Perfect Strike, Legend Gundam, Penelope Gundam, Brave Commander Graham Acre Type, and Elpeo Puru’s Quebeley Mk II
And apparently, the G-Armor that has been leaked ever since as well. Avalanche and Perfect Strike are apparently special forms that can be used during awakening/EX-Burst (this time called EX Overdrive).

Oh, finally EXVSFB PS3 port will be released on January 30th 2014.

New GVS announced directly to PS4...
inb4 F2P, P2W or broken.
"Producer Ryuichiro Baba: We had an aim to provide different gameplays between Arcade and Console versions. The reason why PSVita's EXVS Force had a main focus on story was because we wanted to properly secure solo play to a new layer [of fans]. But on the other hand we couldn't live up to the expectations of the Gundam VS fans who have been about 2-on-2. We acknowledge that as a big improvement point.

Assistant Naoya Yasuda: The Arcade has a specific live sense of inviting friends. We're thinking of establishing a new gameplay that's specific to Console. Right now the hardware specs and infrastructure that can realize those have lined up, so we want to expand it not only in Japan but also to the World.

General Manager Yusuke Sasaki: If we considered the Arcade-based EXVS series as Gundam VS series' 4th generation, the next thing we should aim for is a 5th generation of Gundam VS that applies to Worldwide.

Naoya Yasuda: Actually speaking, that 5th generation of Gundam VS has already had the development progressing, with a new team that has Sasaki and myself in the center, as well as VSTG members who have developed EXVS until now. It still takes a bit more time until we can inform the details. In the 5th generation of Gundam VS, we want the title to be able to expand the invitation circle to worldwide where you can leisurely call new friends to "Let's do it together!"
