So a local store has a Real Arcade Pro VX-SA (white model), used, good condition. Asking price $100. I could probably get them down to $80.
Currently I have 4 sticks for the 360.
* Is it worth the upgrade/purchase of the VX-SA?
* Which sticks should I hang on to, which should I get rid of? (I see no reason in owning more than 2).
* What should I look for in buying an arcade stick? Certian models I should look out for?
The sticks I currently have:
- Basic 6 button Dead or Alive stick (first one I bought years ago). I believe this is the same as an EX2??
- Street Fighter IV stick, fresh out of the box, hardly used.
- Another Street Fighter IV stick with Sanwa parts switched in. It's gotten some play. (I bought it for $40 as is).
- Real Arcade Pro EX-SE, used with definite play time put into it. The cord should be replaced and it's getting a break in the outer casing.
What do you guys think?
I appreciate,
~CID

sell the first 3 and buy the Vx-sa, keep the xs-se as well, im assuming because you had to swap in sanwa the sf 4 sticks are the standard and not the tournament stick, which are a lot smaller, I dont know your preference but I like the bigger base, so I would be using the vx-sa a lot more

I recently bought a VX-SA and I have to say it's a fantastic piece of kit. Good build quality, has a nice weight to it. Swapping out parts is a cinch as far as I can tell. Comes highly recommended.

If those street fighter 4 sticks are Madkatz TE/TES devices, I would stick with what you have. Not that there isn't a better stick out there, but I've used my TES for everything from Castle Crashers to Hard Corps Uprising to Otomedius Excellent and it's a fantastic device. I dual modded it with a TES-Kitty. Absolutely no complaints.
While the Hori Real Arcade Pro's are pretty great, If you've already got Madkatz stuff on site with Sanwa parts in it, there's no big compelling reason to move to something else IMO.
Now if you wanted to have enough sticks on hand to have the whole gang over for a round of The Simpsons and you wanted to replace your oldest stick, I'd say go for it.
