That was a great episode (totally expected of course)! I love hearing from people that are a part of the company putting a game out.

Sign me up for code giveaway as well. I'm really interested in playing these games through now that I know more about them.

Current episode: #34: Raiden Fighters Jet
Scheduled for Saturday August 31st, @ 12:30pm CST. (Still possible to change slightly)
Guests: Serraxor

Anyone available this weekend and wants to comment on a high scoring run of Raiden Fighters Jet? Otherwise I have knowledge on this one, myself. Also, any good runs on youtube or superplays to suggest? I know we have some pretty big scorers on our forum here. Specific time is tentative untill a guest speaks up. (OR PM's me!)

Thanks!

Sure thing. Being a Raiden Fighters fan, I really want to check this out! Particularly, there were 3 epic super playthroughs for this one. NER's Slave run, YCW's Judge Spear and Alluro's signature Raiden Mk-II.

So are you interested in commenting? If so, PM me your Skype ID. Regardless, thanks a lot for the links. We'll likely use a couple of these for the show. :)

Thanks for volunteering Serraxor. The STG show hosts must unite for the greater Jet.

Yeah, I wish I could but I do not use Skype very much as it's very costly. :(

I want to see a Raiden Fighters Jet run with one of the regular planes using charge attacks. Slave and company are too well-known.

It was pretty cool to see live play with the player commenting, even if it didn't demo the whole game. I'd like to see more of that. It brings up discussions about recoveries that may have been otherwise missed. But there's a lot more Vic Viper/Gradius games to be covered...

Hey Aquas,

What does it take to get on an episode as a guest? Not sure what your future episodes are but I'd love to be on an episode. I don't get to talk much about shmups on my podcast since my co-hosts aren't big on them.

Also what is the schedule for STG Weekly? I can't ever seem to catch them live.

If you decide to do Gradius Gaiden or Ikaruga, I would LOVE to be on those episodes.

We decide the game. Contact the commentators and then schedule a day everyone's available, typically on the weekend. So the time varies weekend to weekend. Basically, if you would like to speak on a game, make it known to me via PM on here or by messaging the STG weekly youtube. And if we want to do that as an episode, have good footage for said game, we'll schedule it. So you'd like to comment on those games? Noted! Ikaruga seems like something we should do. I think we have Deathsmiles coming up... still TBD.

Having confirmed commentators is a good catalyst for deciding a game as well. So anyone who has interest in commenting should express interest so we have an "archive" of potential guests. Ideally..

Break week for STG Weekly. Deathsmiles is likely happening next weekend with Tyjet. Then hopefully the developers episode the following weekend.

Since this is a break week...we can take time to ask you viewers what you'd like to see! So...what would you like to see?

What would help us if you could link us to a replay and if you would be interested in doing guest commentary. We love showcasing the community and what they can bring to the collaborative effort that is STGWeekly.

Cheers,
F

Provided there are runs worth watching and someone who is knowledgeable that can commentate, these are the games I would like to watch an episode of the most:

Dimahoo
Battle Bakraid
Any Parodius game
P-47 Aces
X-Multiply
Sengoku Blade

Because it would be fascinating for me to learn about the intricacies these

DeathSmiles is cool too, I remember seeing a crazy run of that

Just to make sure, is this Black Label or not? I'm not really interested in Deathsmiles Black Label as much as I am in the original version.
