Seems to be a 3DS game, but I can't get the QR codes to work. Anyone else have any luck? It looks like a sweet minigame.
EDIT2: Needs a program, I think called "Petitcom" mkII or something along those lines, to scan the QR codes into it. Apparently it's some kind of BASIC language simulator. http://www.petitcomputer.com/
Can't find it in the 3DS store so I guess it's DSi-only? Someone who knows more fill me in, I haven't touched my handhelds in months so I'm a bit stupid with it at the moment.

Petitcom got quite some interesting releases.
Check this video of it's BASIC After Burner conversion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdJBNkJ5jXI
I'm wondering - aren't all DSi eShop games available on the 3DS as well ??

I thought so but I can't see it. I think it's US/Japan only.

Yep, that Petit Computer program is listed on the U.S. region Nintendo eShop site under the apps thread. PCmk2 works just fine on the 3DS/3DS-XL/3DS-LL platforms. Quite a bit of QR codes to scan in it's entirety, 161 of them in order to get it to run properly (would have to save to SD card for posterity & execute from within PCmk2 app itself).
There are two sample STGs to mess around within the PCmk2 app: choose either Game 3 (Simple STG) or Game 4 (Danmaku).

Re: GMEISTER - New shmup from kt.software
Upon scanning all 161 QR codes using a USA region 3DS setup, saving of the file named "KTGMEIST" is automatically saved to the SD card for posterity. The GMeister shmup app will appear as the very first program upon opening up the program list. Simply highlight it with the stylus until it turns pink (to indicate it being highlighted), then select run and you're good to go. The file size will be listed as 475364. Upon initial boot-up, the lower screen says: Cannot locate (high score) file. Disregard that message and press the End command once with the stylus and it'll boot up to the main Gmeister title screen. Easy as pie.
I like how this little shmup pays homage to the earlier NDS shmup of Ketsui Death Label with the usage of it's distinctive font style...how befitting indeed. A nice little chiptune plays in the background on the main title screen.
So by using a combination of the Circle Pad + the usage of the stylus on the lower touch screen, it's a two-handed shmup affair, control-wise. Shoot down all enemies before the timer runs out and proceed to the next stage. Rinse and repeat with the next four stages for a grand total of five stages to try your hand at. High scores are saved if the D-pad is moved to the "Save Score" option and a file save will be created solely for that purpose. Highlight the Yes command and the file will be created.
Here's another cool mini shmup called Reflect Edge version 2.01 from kt.software as well with it's own link to a set of QR codes to d/l using the aforementioned PC mk2 app (only 21 QR codes to read which is a breeze to scan anyways): http://www.geocities.jp/sp1_ssr/ReflectEDGE1.htm RE v2.01 is more akin to a classic STG homebrew title mixed in with some modern-day danmaku fast bullet action. The control scheme is the old but tried and true classic digital 8-way control scheme via the D-pad or Circular Pad + button B to shoot. Let your shot charge up & you fire a charged power shot instead. RE reminds me of the classic mini STG game hidden deep within the TG-16 Hu-Card game of Somer Assault.
Here's an earlier build of Reflect Edge presented in TXT format for perusing at your leisure: http://www.geocities.jp/sp1_ssr/REFLECTEDGE.txt
Can't beat the price of both GMeister and Reflect Edge v2.01 as they're both free just for the extra bit of effort of scanning QR codes = priceless
