Questions about refurbished consoles...
I've thought about getting a refurbished PS3, because it would obviously be cheaper then a new one, but what does GameStop-or a seller on Ebay, or someone else-mean by refurbished? I did work at GameStop for a year, but no customer ever asked me what it meant, or what it involved, and I still don't know. For example, does GameStop ship damaged/broken PS3's to Sony, or do they use people who are certified by Sony, for repairs?

If something is labeled "refurbished" it just means the item is pre-owned or recently repaired, but tested to be 100% working. I don't know where Gamestop gets their refurbished consoles from, but I assume they're a collection of returns and trade-ins from all over the country.

Re: Questions about refurbished consoles...
On a couple of occasions I've thought about picking up a "recharged" console from EB Games. Seems like a good deal for a PSP 3000 ($90) or a Gamecube ($20).
I wouldn't order it online, I would definitely want to see what I was buying before I put my money down. At least you get a warranty, though. Nothing worse than scoring a good deal on eBay and then having it not work when it arrives.
