I've never used IRC but was interested in seeing this forum's irc. How do I get on it using the latest version of Opera Next, or regular opera?

Not familiar with Opera in particular, but the easiest (and worst) way would just be to use mibbit and connect to any EFNet server, then join #shmups. Should work with any browser. irc.umich.edu works very well with mibbit.

Go to: http://www.efnet.org/

At the top left type in whatever nickname you want, set the channel to #shmups, and away you go.
