SLG-in-a-box "No signal"

Hey there,
I just got my SLG-in-a-box and connected it to my Japanese-PS1 with an rgb-cable. I'm using the european-PU.
Well, I hooked everything up, turned the unit on and what do I get? A "No Signal" message, the sound works great but Ive got no picture.

As you may see, the RGB-cable is a original Sony one.

Does it work with any other console?

I get this too, though mine is a PAL machine with a Jp region chip.
My Saturn woirks great, my Megadrive has jumpy video. Testing with a different MD console soon...
