HDFury 4 scaler

Post by BuckoA51 »

So, anyone seen this yet? http://www.hdfury.com/turn-hdfury4-into ... ul-scaler/

You getting one to play with Fudoh? I'd like to but can't really afford it at the moment.

HD Fury devices have been virtually lag-free in the past, this could be an interesting development.

At one point I would certainly like to see how the scaling engine performs, but given the limited hardware of the HDF IV (input-wise), I have a hard time seeing the big picture. Meaninful applications for this are very limited and for most of OUR setups you would have to add a A/D converter to the input anway.

not really sure what sort of situation would call for a scaler. Most people using the HDFury are already using multisync CRT projectors or monitors.

Yeah, my guess is they are testing a firmware design eventually to be included in their own scaler product, that was announced a while ago wasn't it, but then mysteriously just vanished from their site.

With an upgradable firmware there are some interesting possibilities. Maybe even things like 240p conversion etc. One to watch anyway.
