Yes and yes. You still get the x16 for any lower-layer bosses and their lower-layer parts.

Also some same-altitude enemies, when totalled, will sink below and can be shot with the lightning for bonus points if you're quick enough.

Pretty bad survival-wise. Died in the middle of area 4. But scored much better in general, especcially trying to get the bosses with x16 boosts the score quite a bit. But I couldn't land the lightning on the same-altitude enemies, when they go down. Everytime I realize the target mark on them, I try to hit the lightning but I have been always too late so far. I guess I lack the RefleXes for that. But I guess, when I memorize which enemies I can hit, this is gonna be not too hard... I hope at least.

Getting more used to the scoring. Once you get the hang of it, hitting the crashing ships with the lightning, is pretty fun.

Gave it another go today and made a new highscore again. Ok, it's only a slight imrovement, but still. The learning curve for this game is really nice.

I think this is a pretty conservative run as far as scoring is concern. Most of what I did is pretty basic and I wasn't really too concern on milking the bosses (mostly because I don't know what to milk). Didn't try scoring too much in the last 2 stages or else I would get overwhelmed. Decided to just speed kill the last 2 bosses. I need to learn what to do in the last 2 stages since I haven't really learned them as much as everything else if I want to score slightly better.

Nah, I only scored because the game felt too easy without it the first time I 1cc'd on Menace. On top of that, this exists, which further decreases my desire for improvement.
