Also, Astebreed. Probably the first doujin STG that my computer won't be good enough to run.

Void Gear was released recently. Despite featuring an OST by Yack, it's being ignored, but I think it's one of the best doujin games in a while.

Not sure about Crimzon NESiCA. Adventure Planning Service also published the arcade version of Trouble Witches, which found its way to XBLA through SNK Playmore. So there's a precedent.

also, correct me if i'm wrong but both mushi and ibara have been released by taito on the ps2 on similar terms and there is no real difference from a publishing stand point between the two?

Missing in the "Upcoming" list, is FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA), the Android port of Sine Mora, and probably the arcade port of Caladrius (whose gameplay was apparently presented at a private shmup-related event last July 27 but since that date there is no news about that port) together with the full version of Astebreed. Also missing in the "Out Recently" list are those two iOS horizontal shmups almost no one cares about: INHeritage and Trisector, as well as the OUYA port of Raiden Legacy plus Roswell Fighter Reloaded.

Clarifications on the "Out Recently" list: The Tales of ALLTYNEX listed is the English translated version by Nyu Media, the Galaxy Force II listed is the 3DS eShop version, the PSN Mamoru-kun Curse! is the Western release, and is Savant Ascent a shmup?

I think the rest of 2013 is disappointing for J-shmups because their still-existing developers have to adjust for the eighth generation of video game hardware. From this point I assume that console shmup development is in (hopefully short) temporary decline.

The games you mentioned except Ketsui PS3 are released in the first half of 2013. I think for now the Japanese console shmup devs are transitioning to PS4 and Xbox One.

And I also forgot that Touhou 14's subtitle is "Double Dealing Character." It will be released in full at Comiket 84.
