Playing JAMMA board on system 32

Post by Mark III »

Have a Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder system 32 machine and would really like to play other games on it. Is there something I could purchase to allow me to play JAMMA boards on it or would I have to wire something in manually? Can find a lot of adapters online to play sega games on a JAMMA cab but not the other way around. If possible I would like to avoid extra wiring as someone left a real mess in there of same colored wires and poorly soldered connections. I cleaned it up enough to get it functional but really don't want to do any major adjustments unless necessary.

You could probably build an adaptor out of a jamma fingerboard...just look at the pin differences between your system and jamma and have at it!

System 32 games are JAMMA, you don't need an adapter. It was System 16 and earlier that had different pinouts.

Well, I feel dumb.

you are right, they come up just fine. I tried one board and it didn't work so I assumed they were incompatible. Must be an issue with the board, the other ones come up just fine. It doesn't seem to recognize the start button, but I'm sure that will be an easy work around. Thank you! Time to go hunt up my Slam Masters board :)
