The L shoulder-button on my black NTSC-U model-2 saturn controller has been kaput ever since I moved. It has lost its clickiness (whereas the right shoulder-button works fine).
I've taken apart the controller to see this myself, so I was wondering if there was any easy way to fix this up (toothpicks or q-tips or some type of cleaning). I don't feel like going out and buying two new Saturn controllers (my sexy gray Model-2 japanese controller died, and when I shake it something is rattling inside...), so I'd appreciate any insight!

Re: Fixing a broken shoulder button on a Saturn M-2 controll
Sounds like the switch is broken and needs to be replaced.
Looks like the switches are similar to the cheaper model 1:

My first attempt at a custom stick using the model 1 PCB, I ruined it trying to get the switches out. But you might have better luck (or a better soldering iron)?
Edit: also the other one's rattling might just be the buttons, so you could probably salvage one working pad from the situation?
