Shmups on Xbox 1 or PS4?

After seeing that Ketsui PS3 couldn't manage to sell much more than 3k, I take back part of what I said earlier and am now pretty sure that shmups will stay mostly on the 360 for the foreseeable future.

They could just have skipped a "version number" like they recently did with MS Office and release an Xbox 4 to have parity with Sony.

Or better yet, they should have done away with numbers altogether.

I'm sure that Microsoft marketing execs have convinced themselves they did just that.

We are not going to see a serious Shump Release on the Xbone or PS4 until Xbox 360 and PS3 stop being supported by Microsoft and Sony respectively.
Seeing at both new consoles support self-publishing, we might see an influx of indie shmup titles, but that be about it till PS3 and Xbox 360 is no longer relevant in the retail market.

I rather scourer the internwebs for older SNES, PS1, PS2 and Dreamcast Shmups rather than buy games for any of the next gen stuff.
