I think it's safe to say it's a rarely encountered bug rather than an intended "Fuck you moment" added to the game.

Really? I don't think I've ever had that happen on all the hours I've put in on this game....
And it's awful. Happened to me in my Ura clear.

Just up and leaves as soon as he appears. Pissed me off so much I decided to beat the game anyway.

Haha, on top of the missing 1up you lost a life immediately afterwards. True discipline coming back after that.

It was MrMonkeyMan's clear. I didn't remember for sure if it was Resumed's or MrMonkeyMan but thought it was Resumed's.

So have all those Ketsui orders started rolling in from various quarters?

I ordered a SDOJ and a Sturmwind from Play Asia. The Sturmwind got despatched before the SDOJ, and arrived 6 WEEKS AFTER IT.

Yeah, I'm not expecting my Ketsui any time soon.

I'm really glad I used ami-ami. Got to Canada in 4 days and superb packaging. 1500 yen well spent.

Does this happen on the actual board too? I hear from Zakk that Ketsui's actually quite buggy in some spots, so I wouldn't put it past the game, but I'm curious as to whether this is a known PCB thing or whether this is another one of those inaccuracy things like what Ikaruga XBLA is filled with.

Nope. I'm way luckier than all you guys. I actually managed to get the game on a console called the Xbox 360 years ago! Fancy that. Same arrange mode and everything.

Yes, this glitch is on the PCB. The game is buggy as hell and just about every known glitch from the PCB was transferred over to the port (save for the attract mode lock-up glitch... at least, I haven't heard of anyone replicating that in the port).

haha - nice :)

I was just curious seeing it's been over a week - i'd have thought people would have received goods shipped and all that.

Like you hint at though - for most people they've already got this on X360.

Game didn't hit the top 20 Media Create or Top 30 Famitsu sales - with the bottom seller being around 3000 sales in Famitsu. So yeah - under 3000 copies sold.
Even worse - there's a ton of second hand copies already :/

Ok, i just credit feeded to the end a couple of times to see what i should be expecting. And christ fuck, stage 5 is just nuts even in x-mode, but seems manageable with some practice.

On that note, are the endings translated anywhere? I tried to google a bit, but i couldn't find anything :/ I'd appreciate if someone knows what the endings are about.

A bit less than I was expecting. 5pb will still probably port Bullet Soul, but that will most likely be it.

The game was released on 25 July, which means that you were looking at last week's charts. The Media Create website currently lists 15 - 21 July.

yeah, as posted above - this is from the figures from the last week including the period that Ketsui launched in so it is covered : so it's basically not sold that well.

It's a massive shame though still baffled at the large number of second hand copies. My assumption would be people were buying it because they knew the game and hadn't bothered with an X360 - but i guess a lot of people bought blind or something?

Probably people buying the le for the superplay and then selling off the actual game. Speaking of which i'll have mine listed in the trading forum tomorrow if anyone is interested.

yeah, that occurred to me but there's an equally large number of standard editions. Weird.

Maybe PCB and/or 360 port owners checking for themselves to see if the PS3 port is different/better enough to be worth keeping or not. Maybe the odd trophy-whore mixed in.

I haven't touched this game in any form ever since I sold off my PCB years ago. At the time I don't think anyone was complaining about bugs... but personally I'm not a good enough player to have any of those affect my score in a significant way.

Never been much of a MAME guy, I finally couldn't resist and just ordered a regular edition minutes ago from yesasia. Unusually, it's cheaper than play-asia and I am 99% certain I won't be hit with duties either.

Why? Last time I ordered from Yes Asia, I had to pick it up at the customs office and pay import VAT.

From what I understood from my experience playing, you have to damage the 1up helicopters enough by a certain point shortly after they appear or else they fly off. Intentional, as far as I know.
Dimahoo is a fun game.

Well I quickly popped it in since I had a save state right around that part, didn't fire at them at all and the helicopters stayed on-screen for much, much longer than in MrMonkeyMan's video.

Given their interviews, I doubt they'll ever get closer to "military" than Akai Katana.

AnyDVD HD fails on reading the disk completely - doesn't return any region info, only that the disk is AACS protected - but that's all moot.
You can use Blu-ray Decrypter,maybe it's useful.
