Hmm kind of strange I guess you dont turn off any other remotes now that i think about it. but having the LCD on all the time kind of bugs me. by the way how often have you had to change the batteries

Re: beo 4 remote
The LCD certainly won't be the problem. I have a radio controlled alarm clock with a GIANT LCD that's been running on 2 AAs for - I think - 6 or 7 years now.
On the other hand I have remotes that eat two AAAs every two months - and don't have a LCD.
I would trust B&O to have gotten this right.

thxs for the replies. i hope it doesn't go through batteries like my wireless keyboard and mouse. Also the volume and picture settings are always reset when i turn the TV off like colour and brightness and volume but all the settings from the service menu remain intact like picture amplitude, is this normal?

Well, mine do the same, but i can say for sure if it's normal or both sets are faulty. But i remember some more B&O owners saying the same about the reset after power off.

It doesn't seem to turn off, no, but I've had mine going half a year without the need to replace the batteries, So you should probably not worry about it.
