So I'm currently in the middle of an insurance claim after the robbery of my apartment two weeks back. I have a thread going in the off topic forum with all the details.
One of the items that was stolen was a Dell UltraSharp 1907FP monitor. I'm not sure what I should shoot for as a replacement on my insurance claim. I was using it as a second monitor on my PC in vertical orientation primarily to play shooters. I definitely want something that can rotate to vertical out of the box without needing to buy a special stand for it, but beyond that I really don't know what would be ideal or a fair replacement today cost-wise.

I imagine that is an old-fashioned TN panel, so you can now get a IPS-type panel (or possibly VA would work as well) without the color shifting, even within a "budget" monitor.
It might just be worth it to get one good-sized monitor with enough vertical space that you don't have to rotate. 26" in 16:10 gives you a lot of vertical space for desktop use, and doesn't require rotating. IMO of course. Its vertical space might be a bit less than the 19" 4:3 rotated. I would go check out some monitors at a big box local store to see what looks good size-wise (although theirs will probably be mostly 16:9, 1080p which is a bit of resolution loss over your 1907FP).
