CHAIN BLASTER 3DS
Re: CHAIN BLASTER 3DS
I hope this doesn't require stylus use to set those cross-hair things.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

The DS/3DS has a huge lack of shmups. This needs to come to the West!Serraxor wrote:Looks fairly entertaining. I dig the music. Hopefully a US release is in order....

Re: CHAIN BLASTER 3DS
Thanks for the 411 on this new 3DS shmup, mumu. Will d/l the full version of CB & see how it fares.
The demo version of CB is regulated to 30 tries & is a 74 block d/l. The full version of CB weighs in at a respectable 166 blocks of memory stored on an SD or SDHC card setup for posterity.
After a serious CB session, you can choose to upload your best score for all to see (it'll be linked to your online 3DS username moniker indeed). While browsing the online rankings, I've noticed that you can only access the first 50 scores in either of the two listed categories selected by the L & R shoulder buttons or by pressing Left or Right on the d-pad to gain access to the next five rankings.

I think it was a mistake to not give access to the Orion and the Sagittarius in the demo version - play with the Orion isn't even shown in the trailer. I felt that playing with the Sagittarius was kind of - meh. With the Orion "staying at a safe distance" is simply not an option and both offense and defense happen in "close quarters" which makes the game quite a bit more interesting while at the same time you have a better chance to deal with threats on your six (the Orion deploys the Chain Blast at the current position - the Sagittarius projects it forward and the Chain Blast is only deployed in proximity to a threat). In my opinion the Orion is "THE Chain Blaster" while the Sagittarius is some other hybrid with a pea-shooter.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:The demo version of CB is regulated to 30 tries & is a 74 block d/l.
Currently only 12 of which were achieved with the Sagittarius, the remainder goes to Orion - which makes me wonder if really both craft should have been ranked separately.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:I've noticed that you can only access the first 50 scores
