FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
FullBlast will be the first game made by a fairly new Spanish two-man team by the name of UFO Crash Games.
Fullblast is a vertical shmup with a city setting with full 3D graphics. It will have 12 levels, 4 bosses, 3 different control settings, and level/enemy layout randomization. One of the fun spots of the game is a textual. comics-inspired sound effect pops up after an enemy is defeated.
UPDATE: Tucho, the lead artist for this game, showed off most of the art made for the game, as well as some new screenshots (for the Android version) and a video showing off the Easy difficulty. And iCade support is planned!
Release Date: TBA (Development is currently in beta)
Is this the first vertical shmup released on OUYA (not a late port)???
Screenshots
Video
(mod edit - unfinished game, moved to Development subforum)

I express my apologies for posting a bunch of mobile shmup threads in this forum in recent months, because some members perceive them as "spam." I have to redeem myself.

Why should you only be able to choose from 3 different control setups instead of allowing user-mappable controls like in most modern shmups?Hal1 wrote:3 different control settings

Re: FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
Looks promising! I really dig the artstyle but hope it gets a little bit more lively when it's finished...
Is there a blog or something to follow the progress?

Re: FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
The backgrounds are great, the game itself is a bit slow like many western shmups. (slow shot speed, kinda slow enemy progression)
Re: FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
Looks nice enough, a little slowly paced for me though
be nice if theres an option to set the game speed to the users preference
(with scores increasing/decreasing depending on the speed/skill selected)

FullBlast is a shmup made for TOUCH-ENABLED MOBILE DEVICES. And developer Eskema revealed the 3 different control setups:BareknuckleRoo wrote:Why should you only be able to choose from 3 different control setups instead of allowing user-mappable controls like in most modern shmups?
Eskema wrote:There will be 3 control types to select on the options menu:
-drag your finger around to move the ship, not necessarily touching on the ship itselft, also you can touch on a position and the ship will go there automatically, some kind of "one touch control".
-another relative touch control similar to the previous one but without the "one touch control".
-gravity control, with some inertia to the ship (really fun to play with)

Original post updated with the link of the work of Spaniard Tucho Fernandez Calo made for the FullBlast game as lead artist, iCade support announcement, and many more.

Looks promising - when will it be released?
"It's more the way it is now than it's ever been."

Hi Guys!, I'm Tucho the artist from FullBlast, I'm really glad to see people talking about our game even before that it be released
@Daika110: We don't have a release date, we are developing this game without funds so we just can work on this project on our free time and we don't able to match fixed deadlines. Anyway we hope to finish and release FullBlast some day in 2014
@Necronom: We don't have a development blog yet but maybe it would be a good idea
. I post my progresses on the the art of the game on this thread and from time to time the most remarkable ones on my blog too
Here you can see the last models that I made for the game I just published them today, I'll post soon pictures of the next levels showing the art of the new tileset
Thank to all of you for your interest on our game

Here you can see the last illustrations for the loading screens, with this ones we already have one illustration for each of the 12 levels, we will use them with a short text as part of our simple storyline.

Looks so awesome!
But why the slow moving main bullets? It's totally ruining it, imho.
Good luck with it!

Thanks for your comments mice.
Which bullets do you mean? the player ones or the enemy ones?

Re: FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
The player ones. I think the official term is "noodle fire".tucho wrote:the player ones or the enemy ones?

Re: FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
@mice:There are power ups which increase the speed of the player bullets.
FullBlast release is less than one month away
We've created a Facebook page and a twitter account where we are posting news regarding the project.
Stay tuned!

Re: FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
Incredible work too, Alex! Is there a version for PC?
Re: FullBlast (iOS/Android/OUYA)
Not for now, maybe in a future we will release a pc version with a lot of visual improvements. But right now we are fully focused on the mobile version as we want to add a couple more of enemies and icade support for iOS users
