Hello,

Busy with work at the moment, but just dropping a line here to tell you guys to keep an eye on Flump Studios shmups. Paul is someone I've been trying to support on the XBLIG scene as he's one of the few developers who caters for 4:3 resolutions. I recently helped him with some screen scaling code when he ported his games to OUYA.

As a result, he has now enabled Tate support on his Ouya versions. We've been planning a bundle of shmups for a while, with the caveat that I simply won't do it unless he puts tate in.

Hopefully, this will make other vert developers start putting tate in their games and stop using the excuse that "it takes too much development time and there's not enough demand"

..since it takes about 4 minutes to implement :-P

He has posted his stuff here, but largely gone unnoticed. Please go and give you're support and buy them please, because they're only 80msp too. He will be adding Tate support in the very near future to the XBLIG versions - because he lives near me and I will actually go and kick him in the testicles if he doesn't do it.

If you don't buy them, we can't justify learning from our mistakes and making more xbox indie shmups. Simples!

Well, turn out TATE is pretty straight forward to implement so will now be adding that to our future releases (Thanks again n0rty).

My first game with TATE support will be the remastered version of Super Killer Hornet which I'm hoping to release on the OUYA in early August.

I'm also looking to release a PC version soon as well.

As soon as I can I will look at getting an XBLIG update with tate support for both SKH and Pester.

TATE's awesome and Mr N0rty has shown me the way!!!
