Split audio from SCART RGB

Post by 604_degrees »

Hello!

I want to buy 6x2 Matrix SCART switch to hook up all my consoles to my tellys like this.

The problem is that yoko telly have glorious mono sound, and the tate one's is just shit :) So I'm thinking on separating audio and need some advice on it. Are these kind of bypass adapters are loseless/reliable? Is there any reason to mod Matrix Switch itself? Are there any good SCART cords with RCA plugs? Maybe you know different and proper way?

Thanks ahead, any help is highly appreciate!

Can't say if it's lossless or not (though that one does look pretty good) but I've used a cheaper, similar unit before and it worked.

Otherwise, do you have a specific 6x2 switch in mind? Because the switches I have, a couple of 3x1 scart switches, as well as more advanced things like a joytech unit (need to integrate that) all sports rca out for composite + audio, which would eliminate the need for a separate audio splitter?

Yep, it is the the SB-5525 6x2 SCART Matrix Routing Switch, and it doesn't have those.
