Neo Geo Wells Gardner monitor adjustment
Hello, I have a 2-slot Neo Geo cabinet with a K7000 Wells Gardner monitor. I was wondering if any of you guys can instruct me, or point me in the right direction of how to adjust the monior. I'm just not seeing the scanlines like I should. I have made minor adjustments, but want to study up before anything major. Thanks

Can you further discuss the symptoms of the monitor output (screen rollover, image not properly aligned, etc.)? Also if you don't have the manual, probably good idea to get it from here.

Thanks for the link. Originally the convergence was off, but I seem to have that fixed. It just looks like the scanlines are not there. Like something is off. I just want to pick the forums brains before doing any work on it. Thanks again

I don't think that's it. I can see the scan lines clear as day on the black and dark background, but on colors they are hard to make out if there at all.

Are are the lines on the black and dark background seems "squished"?DrMattBuckets wrote:I don't think that's it. I can see the scan lines clear as day on the black and dark background, but on colors they are hard to make out if there at all.

no not at all, they look very normal. when I turn up the black level they become more pronounced, but I just can't see them on the color parts of the game.
Re: Neo Geo Wells Gardner monitor adjustment
What size screen is it? It's normal for scanlines to be unnoticeable on most 20" for example. Having the contrast too high or having the focus out will cause it too. You're unlikely to get a perfect picture on an old arcade monitor.

The monitor is a 25" or 27". I think I just about have it were I want it. Thanks to all who helped me. If anyone has any other ideas that might help feel free to post them. Thanks again everyone.

Can you post a picture or what you see?

I have adjusted it to were the image is much better than it was. Basically I can see the scanlines on the black and darker colors, but on light colors (white, grey) I can't see them. If you can think of anything let me know, and thanks for the help.

Re: Neo Geo Wells Gardner monitor adjustment
i have been looking at the image more and I think I may have the problem. On a dark background black, green, blue, you can see full scan lines across the monitor. But when a light color shows up light blue, tan, white it looks like the scan lines are interrupted. it's difficult to put down in writing what i am seeing but I will do my best. Its like the scan line gets blocked by the light color and reverses. Meaning black scan line scan line scan line then white say number and it flips or moves in the way of the scan line and the spot where the white should be is now black . I hope this makes sense and hasn't been to long winded.
Thanks
