Panny Plasmas PC60-ST50 vs. PC60-ST60

Post by chronic1 »

Hey guys,

Have any of you all checked out these two displays? I remember discussing vertical banding concerns with the ST50, and Amazon shows identical pricing for the two displays.... The usual suspects (cnet, etc.) all seem to basically say the ST60 is an improvement over the ST50; however, I assume a review from this user base would utilize different datapoints.

All of my retro games directly connect to the display via a mini, and the audio passes back to a receiver via ARC. My J360 uses VGA; however, that connection routes to the display through the receiver....so a lack of VGA on the display isn't a killer.

Any suggestions (including other displays) are appreciated!

Konsolkongen here on the board wasn't too happy with his Panasonic and switched to a Samsung instead. He uses the Mini a lot, so maybe get in touch with him for details.

Hey there Fudoh,

Thanks for the advice! I had chatted with Konsolkongen awhile back regarding the panny. So far I got the feeling he has been really happy with the Samsung.... Pretty sure he is happy enough to not look at newer displays since they may provide an itch only another new display can scratch, haha.

The ST60 has a pretty high input lag according to several people.
