Dodonpachi maximum final stages won't unlock.

I know this is old,sorry for starting a new topic,I couldn't find anything on this.I've met all the requirements,I mostly have 3 out of the 2 that you need to progress.three stages I have 2,but the final 2 stages just won't unlock.is this a bug? Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry,wrong wording! Access to the final stages,you need 2 out 3 requirements to move on yes? Well,I have them but I don't have access to the final stages.sorry this is is the wrong place!

You need two out of three bonuses to unlock the harder variation of the next stage. There are five stages, and each one has one more difficulty level than the previous one, culminating in stage 5-E, which can only be unlocked if you fulfill two of the three bonus requirements in stage 4-D.

I understand,my problem is 4d and 5e won't unlock even though I have all 3 bonus requirements on most stages and 2 bonus requirements on a couple.i don't have just 1 bonus on a single stage.Surely I've met the minimum requirement to move on? But...they just won't unlock.i don't get it.

You're sure you unlocked 2 of the 3 requirements on stage 3-C specifically? If you have, then... that's a bit strange. My suggestion would be to try getting 2 of the 3 requirements in the same run of stage 3-C.

The key is that it NEEDS TO BE STAGE 3-C; for unlocking 4-D, the game gives no shits about any stage other than 3-C, and for unlocking 5-E, the game only cares about 4-D.

Like I said; for unlocking 4-D, the game only cares about 3-C. You cannot unlock anything with 5-D.

See if getting two of the requirement in the same run on 3-C works for you.

You have to get the two requirements in the same run. So you need to no miss and 100% destroy everything in stage 4-D to uinlock 5-E.

Now, if you select the easier difficulty, you can select an even harder 5-E level ... give it a try.

I think you just need to unlock normal 5-E.

The "Easy" mode stage 5-E is way, WAY harder though.

This. Special 5-E is wa harder, indeed, but it's pretty fun to play... best level in the whole game, imho.
