Fire Shark PCB graphics distortion

When playing the pcb, the very left side of the screen is distorted towards the top and flickers sometimes, as seen in the pictures here:

I'm using a pc monitor via XRGB 2+, but it's not an issue of the monitor I reckon. When moving the picture, the distortion moves along seamlessly.

Has anybody any idea what might be the cause and how to fix it?

i get that too when using the xrgb-2 with a clean sync source. don't know if it's a fault by design though.

It's the display equipment not liking the PCB output signal, my New Net City monitor hates loads of games, particularly Taito and Toaplan, exact same end result.

2plus has pretty terrible PCB support you might have better luck with a 1 or 2 (non plus) if you have access to one.
