I hear all four of the new Streetpass games are solid. There's a bundle if you buy all four (you essentially get one of them for free), so if you're going to spend on this, might as well go all out.
Re: Mii Force (3DS streetpass minigame)
Hmm, my girlfriend has been rather addicted with the original Mii Plaza game... Maybe this could be a way easing her way into the genre? The presentation looks slick enough and I really enjoy the music I've heard so far.
Re: Mii Force (3DS streetpass minigame)
Oh man, that was an instant buy for me! Even if I had to spend $10 in credit just to get it (on the plus side, the extra $5 went towards downloading the Virtual Console version of NES Gradius).
It's very cool. The gameplay, music and environments reminded me A LOT of the Twinbee games. Level 1-1's music somehow reminded me of Twinbee Yahho's beautiful Sisilia Isle stage music (hey, I wonder if some ex-Konami staff and composers worked on Mii Force. It's doubtful, but man, this game has some heavy Twinbee influence) I ended up blowing all my play coins playing this game. Still haven't completed it, though. Tomorrow, I'm going to shake my 3DS, reset the date, then repeat for a full 300 coins so that I'll play this game over and over.
Say, I wonder if we're going to have a high score thread for this game. I do hope to score a million points in this game, even if it seems nigh-impossible to do so. I could even make the thread if you all want.
EDIT: Turns out, the developer Good-Feel is founded around two ex-Konami employees (Shigeharu Umezaki and Etsunobu Ebisu). I don't see Twinbee on their resumes, though two Parodius titles are on Shigeharu's resume, both of which featured Twinbee as a playable character. The Twinbee influence suddenly makes more sense.

Might have to try these since I tend to get a pretty decent number of StreetPass contacts if I take my 3DS on the bus to and from work. Good Feel is also responsible for Kirby's Epic Yarn, which didn't have much replayability but was one of the more unique looking Wii games out there.

How do I d/l this Mii Force to my 3DS? Tried searching it on the USA region Nintendo eStore site but it wasn't listed.

You have to go to the Mii Plaza to buy it. You need to update and then it will be available in the plaza. It sucks, they won't let me buy it because I haven't street passed anyone yet.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:How do I d/l this Mii Force to my 3DS? I am about to go to a convention next month (Otakon)
Well My point is since I just got Mii Force (I purchase the bundle) I wonder how many of Hundreds of Miis I can line up.
That is assuming people bring the 3DS units to anime conventions.

Otakon's one of the better conventions to Streetpass at. You'll still hit Streetpass Mii Plaza's max queue all the time if you're not checking it regularly, but not as crazy as trying to get every last pass available at PAX. Just remember, Streetpass Mii Plaza has a queue size of 10, so if you've passed more than 10 people it stops capturing them until you go to the plaza gate.

Been revisiting this game lately. Really makes me miss when Nintendo would always be publishing experimental and smaller games from partner developers out of Japan.
As a poster mentioned earlier, Good-Feel is compromised of ex-Konami staff and it shows in this game, with presentation that is reminiscent of Twinbee but it's a slower paced game with "meatier" environments to move through and with a great variety of elemental upgrades to place around your ship.
The soundtrack is from the same composer as Twinbee Yahho!:
