These are, of course, all bootlegs. By buying bootlegs you could be financing the trade of illegal drugs and/or people smuggling. BAD IDEA.

Go here for help on how to spot bootlegs.

Anime costs money. Some say it costs a lot, others suck it up and shop at DDD, DVDPacific, Axel Music (for Scandinavians mainly) or go check out TRSI's Thursday specials which always contain a number of good deals. Sometimes even great deals.

I guess the price has risen $10 since then, but it's still well worth the money.
You ought to get the platinum thinkpak collection. They really improved the picture and sound a lot in the platinum release.

Figures. I bought each of the Platinum editions of Eva as they were released.

Not really complaining, though, as I'm a huge fan of the series, anyway. I'm just starting to think it's not worth buying individual DVDs if they're just going to repackage them as box sets later on down the road.

Yeah...I did the same. For what it's worth, I don't think the thinpaks come with the booklets. There was some interesting stuff in the eva ones.

Japanese cartoons these days are ripoffs because, well, most of them suck these days. All they're doing is marketing towards japanophiles and men who question their sexuality/are obsessed with cute things. (No offense to those people if there are people like that on shmups... ^_^)

However, this one is pretty good. It is good to see that there's still a couple of artists who know what they're doing in Japan.
The radio said, "No, John. You are the demons."
And then, John was a zombie.

Try reading my post. NONE of the thinpak collections come with booklets.
