Super Emotia: Interference/noise over time

Hi all,

I have a Super Emotia that I use to connect a PC and a Xbox 360 to my Sony PVM 20L4.
I bought the unit quite cheaply over eBay and it didn't come with a power supply, hence I adapted a regular ATX power supply.
The ATX power supply is 500 W.

The thing is, that when I use the Super Emotia interference or noise or what you would call it slowly creeps in to the picture over time (10-20 mins). It looks a bit like the drawing of the horizontal lines gradually gets more and more unstable – and it gets very hard for the eyes and head to look at for longer periods of time
The PVM works perfectly with any other input source, so I don't think its that.

Could it be a grounding/earth issue? I haven't tried to earth the ATX power supply yet, as it will require me to buy some new cables – but I could easily do so.

Any of you experienced something similar?

I think it's not an interferance, it should be a solarization effect, as stated by Fudoh on is review "Again 24-bit color inputs can show slight solarisation effects, but the actual low-res 240p image is awesome" you can read it all here: http://scanlines.hazard-city.de/

How do get a ATX PSU running with proper grounding ? If you're using a proper 3-prong from the outlet to the PSU and have the 5-pin connector on the Emotia wired to black on the PSU everything should be properly grounded. If that's the case, it could be failing caps somewhere.

It doesn't look like a solarization effect, more like the synch gets slightly off over time?

For some reason grounding hasn't been so common in Danish houses, hence most of our cabling are only 2-prong, and the grounding we have is not standard European schuko. Well, I just have to go to the store and get some cables and try that out
