Sorry if this is a noob question/been covered before.i was just to lazy to wade through 155 pages!...the flickering lines at the bottom of the screen on a standard pal megadrive, how do you get rid of them? What bit of kit do I need to sort it? It's always bugged me...
Anyone kind enough to help on this will be elevated to god like status!

Re: Megadrive display noob question
Standard on all MDs, no matter if NTSC or PAL. Only way to get rid of it is to adjust your TVs overscan until it's hidden.

Re: Megadrive display noob question
I don't think overscan is covered in the typical owner's manual because it's usually a service menu setting. On Trinitrons it will be the HSIZ setting (though try HPOS as well). Of course "fixing" overscan on the MD/Gen might break it for other games.

Re: Megadrive display noob question
Well, probably what you would have is overscan set up for the "largest" picture, and other machines should display in a slightly smaller area with slight black borders. Probably no more than a 5% difference at most.
