Megaman X Collection thread (PS2, Gamecube)

Post by Neon »

http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/megamanxcollection/

"Mega Man X Collection contains the first six Mega Man X titles, as well as Mega Man Battle & Chase, artwork, and soundtrack remixes."

Release date is December 6th (start preordering you stupid shits).

Worth it for the soundtrack remixes alone. A mere $30.

Hopefully they won't put exclusive content on the lamecube version like they did with Anniversary Collection (Thank gawd for the Xbox port).

More bashing for no apparant reason. o_O I just hope that all of the versions will have adjustable controls this time around and that the emulation/ports of all three versions will be good.

Aye, I've had this beauty pre-ordered for ages. Counting down the days, I am!

Let's hope the controls haven't been switched around (as they were in the Anniversary Collection), for picky buggers like myself.

Nah, Capcom would have to be stupid to do that again amidst all the flak they and Atomic Planet received for the first one. Any new info since months ago? Do people know what versions they're using and whether they'll be redubbing?

I just hope they'll allow the use of other than Dual Shock controllers this time.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

"Near-perfect ports of the first eight Mega Man games, as well as two bonus arcade-only games; A gaggle of extra content, including both the PS2 and GameCube exclusive features wrapped into a single package; Only $20 for some excellent classic games; Remixed versions of the classic Mega Man tunes that you can turn on or off; Any disc that has Mega Man 2 and 3 on it is worth twice what this costs"
More bashing for no apparant reason.
JPS2 wipes the floor with Gamecube in terms of quality games. There's really no contest at this point.

It's just more convenient to get everything on PS2 now.

Capcom's website has this game listed as a January release:

^ All the pics in their gallery are from RE4 .

Maybe they'll bundle it as a bonus. Hell, it could fit.

I'd trust their site, sadly. Especially since it's the later release date.

Wonder if the tshirt comes with a preorder at ebgames? I'd be nerd enough to wear it if it's just the capcom logo.

Nope, the Capcom t-shirt just comes with all pre-orders made at Capcom's store.

The thing is that I don't like MXs after 4th so it's not an essential release, but the $30 price is tempting.
