It was on loan from Taito, who the owner of Casino had a long term relationship with as a UK distributor since Electrocoin's heyday. Sadly all good things come to an end: Dariusburst disappeared not too long before it was announced Casino's existence as an arcade would cease after nearly 30 years (iirc).

Lots of the cabs are gone now, I don't know what the state of things is there, but it's looking like pool tables and fruit machines for the future.

Hmm that sucks. Trocadero and Casino gone, whats left in London? Namco station? I was considering going this summer.

Namco's probably still hanging on, amazingly. It's not really an arcade though, more like a daycare centre for tourists to leave their kids. There is a nice bar downstairs, however.

Oh, shit, I didn't know the Casino's one was gone. Was still hoping I'd get to play it at some point. Are there any other DBAC cabs in the UK?

Just when I thought this fucking country couldn't get any more depressing! None in Europe, eh? I know there's a very limited amount of cabs, but that's still a real shame...

I got one around the corner from me, I try to play it daily. Simple answer is, if you want thriving arcades, emigrate.

This is such a beautiful machine in the flesh. As someone else mentioned, that there is no home console port is criminal.

I play it at my local arcade a few times per month. The machine is even equipped with really nice headphones for each player

Not sure if it has been mentioned on here, but Taito Game Station arcades across Japan sold a run of 400 very nice numbered limited edition 2nd anniversary T-shirts over Xmas.

You should, the game is an event. It's far more intense than the PSP and iOS versions, the noise the cab makes attracts attention for miles around, and Chronicle Mode will last you ages, there's so much to do in it. Last time I was in London, I hammered the credits knowing that it may be the last time I ever see it.
It's a crime against humanity that Taito hasn't considered porting it to a console.
(As a reminder of how epic the game is, I think I'll be blasting the Photosynthesis Suite soundtrack at speaker-blowing volume today.)

Sorry for the bump, but, well I think I discovered something peculiar.

There was this time when the technician was fixing DBAC when I saw the operator/test menu. Apparently, there's this input password option so I asked the technician if he could try accessing it and when he did, it just showed the usual password input screen. So, I suggested to that technician to ask for those passwords from Taito or from their source.

So, has anyone here noticed this already?
