I'm glad Microsoft are making it easy for me not to want the XBone so far; with the total lack of backwards compatibility for the next gen I'm running out of storage space for consoles.

I'm pretty baffled/amused by their inclusion of a tournament fighting game stick and a Killer Instinct reboot when the Xbox One will ever be anywhere near a tournament, due to the ridiculous restrictions the thing has on pretty much everything. You will never see Xbox One or any fighting games on it at a tournament.

Someone told me it was $500 and launching with Killer Instinct. I thought he was kidding. "Hey guys, Killer Instinct! Remember that one? It's got lots of blood and a slammin' techno soundtrack! Word to your mother! Hey, where are you going?"

Rare aren't even making the new Killer Instinct. It's by Double Helix Games (of Silent Hill: Homecoming and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra 'fame'). I guess Rare are too busy with Kinect Sports Rivals or something.

I liked Dead Rising 2 but what they showed of 3 looks like it loses all of the charm.
It is, but it was original supposed to be for the 360 and is Kinect only apparently.

Well, i don't see too much for the launch window that i'd particularly care for. The Titan game looked like it could be okay, but again... PC. What Lies Below looks fantastic... again, PC.

Never cared for Dead Rising 1 and 2. But the new one looks pretty damn good and fun to play. I just read on a Playstation (!) news site that MS is the Publisher, so changes that this game will be a timed exclusive are zero.

Maybe I'm just seeing things but the Panzer Dragoon game looked to me like it was controlled with a controller and not with the ass.

And a new game by Swery 65...

Honestly, MS delivered. You can't expect strategy games or shmups at a show like that. I still won't buy this console but I am quite shocked at the amount of games. Poor Wii U is already miles behind.

They were terrible games, but Killer Instinct was pretty big back in the day. I'm sure it will sell rather well.

Interesting, you can't preorder PS4 in the USA that I'm aware of.

I've generally picked up each console and owned/played a good balance of games for each. I've never worried too much about the system price, as I get my value over time. However, I think this gen might be different. I'm not too concerned about the internet connectivity, as I'm 100% connected. I don't care much about used games because I don't buy/sell them. I DO care about Kinect (and not in a good way) and I DO care about being able to play physical games years down the road. Heck, I've got a 20" CRT with Retro Duo (NES/SNES), PS3, Wii, and X360 on my work desk right now. At times they're replaced with a Saturn or DC as well. I don't want to be forced to consider my physical games as rentals. I don't want a Kinect staring me in the face.

I suppose I'll see what Sony has to say. Maybe I'll just skip out at this point. My backlog could probably keep this whole forum occupied for years. It sucks because I enjoy getting excited about new hardware.

Anybody know what the new-new-new 360 model is called? Like, to actually buy? There is not a single unique search term describing it.

I put in Xbox 361 and Google called me a retard.

I have seen the conference and the games so far and you know why??? I am not impressed, this lolks to me all the same all over again. Furthermore, graphics arent that impressive, well MGS5 looked stunning but as always CUTSCENES EVERYWHERE (and that western look is horrible IMO).
I wont mention Titan of Duty. The only interesting games for me, Crimson Dragon (fuck you M$ this was a 360 title and then you trash it in favor for what???) and Quantum Break.
Also, so Halo 5 is gonna be a love story???
I am not excited at all, oh well unles Cave announces a Dodonpachi Saidaikatsu or something like that.

What did you expect? It's a mainstream expo for mainstream gamers.

NFS: Looked interesting
Battlefield: Looked brilliant
Mirrors Edge 2: Happy this is getting a chance to exist

I'm not expecting what I was hoping to hear more about, DRM from both companies.

what was everyone's thoughts after E3? I just confirmed my suspicions that I'm sticking to PC gaming, maybe if PS4 knocks it out the park i'll consider getting that, i just hope that cave starts releasing games for the pc or the Wii-U :(
Diane... it's 7:30 a.m. over at the shmup forums, the locals seem to be nice and friendly, i've stopped over at the off topic forum and they have nice conversation and a damn good coffee, and the trading station is worth a stop.

I'm excited about Mirrors Edge 2 also, and also excited that I won't have to get an XBox One to play it on. If more stuff like that comes out, maybe I'll wind up with a PS4. Who knows. For now, I'm looking at this as an opportunity to get more into retro computer gaming, maybe dig through the Atari 8-bit catalogue or invest in a PAL C64 or a faster Amiga. And, more time to check out indie games and play them on my existing laptop.

the majority of people are stupid and will buy the new Xbox. It's fun to point at it and laugh, but don't kid yourselves. I bet half the forum will have one in a year's time.

Nothing exclusive at the MS event that particularly excited that -wouldn't- be available elsewhere so far.

Titanfall looks interesting but, again, will go for PC. Price is about what i was expecting, it'll look much worse if the PS4 -is- more powerful and clocks in at less.

I'm doubting that this will be the next shmups console. G.Rev have already expressed disinterest in micorsoft and probably won't develop shmups for it. I'm doubting we will be getting many shmups next gen anyways, but most likely on wii U and PS4.

I pre-ordered an Xbox One already. I figured I might as well since Killer Instinct and Forza Motorsport 5 won't be available anywhere else. Folks who want to complain or ridicule the current generation can have a ball; I got that out of my system over a decade ago.
