Not a track as such but a DJ mix. I prefer to do short mixes because expecting people to listen to a two hour mix the whole way through from someone they don't know is a big ask since all the big names are giving away podcasts every week.

Tracks

1. Tim Xavier & Dustin Zahn - Speeding Through The Universe (Dustin Zahn Monolith remix). Enemy.
2. DJ Sodeyama - Mongoya (The Automatic Message remix). From 01.
3. Reeko - Miracle. Pole Group.
4. Ben Sims feat Tyree - I Feel It Deep (Silent Servant remix) Drumcode.
5. Marcel Dettmann - Translation 2. Ostgut Ton.
6. Martyn - We Are You In The Future (Redshape remix). Brainfeeder.
7. Tessela - Hackney Parrot. Poly Kicks.

I watched a lot of 80s anime recently, so I've been in a cyberpunk mood. This was specifically inspired by Genocyber's soundtrack (but not as creepy!):

haven't made a tune in about a year and haven't made a jungle tune in probbly 12
i got sick of 2 step drums and mid range robot bass noise in 99 and just went back to hip hop which was my original love anyway.
still i thought i'd bring out the amens again for a little rinse to see if i could still program them ok.
the end sounds like some stoner fuzz drum n bass so i'm happyish with that bit and the drum programs.
i did it all on modplug tracker.

Great stuff charlie!!

Glad to hear some new sounds out of you. I particularly like the warbly/drifty drone towards the end. Samples or your Teisco?

thanks mayne
think that bit was a sample.some uk modal jazz pitched down or something.my keyboards are still at my mums so i just used rubberduck to sample the bass notes.
i might try making a few more.ive definitely probbly got some obscure samples that would sound good on jungle type drums.i need to go through my lps with drum samples and see if any sound rinsing at 165 sort of speed.
i might try this cos it's pretty killer at normal speed

Been trying to keep this alias a secret, but I figured I might as well post about this stuff. Currently just have made what I'm posting links to as Beneath The World(if you get the artist name reference good going). Chill IDM that uses dnb and jungle loops for the drums. I think I've make some nice stuff. At least I like it.

really really like the crunchiness of the drums in 'gfonk' -lovely long glide/porta synths too.

Great kettle drums in cwak hed too - all 3 are great tracks actually - really like all the little fills and backward stuff.

listened to that - really liked it - the 'anticipation' feel of the tune was very nice, as was the drum programming.

you should break out the CD-i and rock some Burn:Cycle - now THAT's cyberpunk :D

cool stuffs - Imma check em when I get home - yeah Im hoping my recent purchase of a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 and imminent Reason 7 and Live 9 purchases might make me start making musics again, instead of this daily routine:

procrastinate
make anime animgif
procrastinate
watch anime
procrastinate
fall asleep

although I have learnt a lot of 3D stuff I did not know before in the last while - still I need to make noises again :)

haha yeah - I actually think Burn:Cycle was genuinely ok, certainly one of the best 'multimedia CD-ROM' games ever made.

Dude!! You're killing it lately! That Top down track is madness. Get on soundcloud though, that divshare is terrible; I have to let the tracks buffer for like 10 minutes before I can play them

oh i didn't realise it takes so long to buffer for other folks.for me it's usually instantaneous to stream or download..
will setup a soundcloud.. think im gonna do this stuff under the moniker Don Pachi so I'll try and get one setup.only thing i dont' like about soundlcoud is they don't give me enough space.i've got like 3.5 gigs on divshare

mmm seems there's something slowing down divshare atm

Somewhere in the user menu you can set it back to classic mode, so it's the old interface. As for the order of the tracks, I think you can change them around with a paid account, otherwise it defaults to the order they are uploaded in.

Made some hip hop beats a couple weeks ago, just need to record them. Right up your alley charlie. All made with samples from old giallo flix.

giallo flix are always up my alley 8) .i've been trawling italian library music today for ages looking for samples to go with some new drums but so much is bland jazz funk. i'm looking for the moody trippy evil stuff

I haven't finished any new music in years. Here is a track I made almost ten years ago out of samples I recorded from my pinball machine. I fucked them all up using destroy fx plugins. This took me about a half hour to make. It got signed to a mix compilation and the label sells it on beatport but I haven't ever seen any money from it so I can't recommend buying it . I don't think I have the file on my computer anymore to share directly.

http://www.beatport.com/track/the-docto ... -mix/89641

I actually have three or four tracks that I made from the same bank of pinball samples but I can't find the rest of them. If I do, I'll try to share somehow.
