Reached Omote loop in Ketsui! I started my session with a run where I wasted away 3 lives on the last boss, and it lingered for a while. But then a few runs later I got it and nailed 141M. Looking forward to practicing the loop now. Awesome!

The Rose Club, damn. That one might be a curse and a blessing because it makes you think you can clear anything.

Or should I call it The Suicide Club?

Galuda 2 and Futari 1.5 Maniac were those games for me. For me, Ibara was very easy in comparison.

It's the reputation Ibara has that makes it intimidating. Well that's one of the reasons anyway. Anyway it's a great clear and you are in the club now. Basically the first thing you need to know about Ibara Cub is we lift up our nostrils to everyone not in it. The second thing you need to know about Ibara Cub is we lift up our nostrils to everyone not in it.

Unfortunately the smilies here are too limited to have one that fits my ending.

I'm sure they care...the more peeps that are chasing a 1cc or a mega high score...the longer our beloved genre can last. What you described is better than most gamers of today..they would consider credit feeding an achievement.

Me, I'm the almost 1cc king...lol...Deathsmiles(the freaking ballroom gets me...if not that then Jitterbug), Akai Katana(beginning of the fifth stage...stupid giant cannons.), Futari( I hate you queen Larisa),and Eschatos(those stupid lasers inside Planet X).

I have 1cc'd the english version of DFK(barely), and Otomedius Exellent...they took so much practice...but it was so fun fighting them.
Waiting on the end!(Whether that's the world or a burrito in the microwave changes daily.)

Strange first 1cc though. Did you never play the arcade mode?

Seriously, congrats.. and WOW  What an odd choice for your first 1CC, it's probably Cave's hardest first loop up there with Mushi+Futari ULTRA modes.

Thanks! I went for the no medal run to see if it was doable. It's very doable! I'll be playing for score now.

Just got first 1CC of Mushi Original. 20mil points, so 1 life left after victory. There is a lot of room to improve here, which should be doable thought, got to level 5 with 4 lives, most were lost stupidly. Gonna try and go for NM, I think :D

Actually, I'm kinda disappointed I didn't pull it off on the PCB, and the final boss got screwed up so badly it's embarrassing, I died and got hit in kakusei in the time span of a few seconds, murdering my counter, and then I didn't manage to cash-in on any of his phases. I'm actually grateful to you since watching you play was how I learned how to deal with Jakou's third phase (the one where he first transforms), I used to bomb/kakusei it all the time.

Thanks! I played a bit of Arcade mode but when I tried out Arrange, I just really enjoyed it and decided to try and finish the game.

Thanks! Watching and studying that Arrange 1cc video by MrMonkeyman really helped me get through the game.

Got my first 2-ALL of DOJBL (360 ver) just now:

Image
(Final score was 1,246,855,220)

This run was pretty awful to be honest. I died on the 1-4 boss, broke my chain in 1-5, and I think I died twice in 2-2... I paused the game and was just about to restart (side note: pausing prevents you from saving your replay :( ), but I decided to keep playing just to get some more practice in. I thought the run was hopeless, but pretty much everything went perfectly, and once I reached Hibachi with 3 lives I realized I actually had a chance. I've cleared the second loop on MAME a bunch of times when starting from 2-1 (or earlier), but this was my first legit 2-ALL from start to finish. Just in time for SDOJ.

Doesn't Ketsui (XB360) do this too? they're the only two Cave ports I can think of that kill a replay if you pause to pick up the phone or something. Very impressive stuff, 1-alling or looping the game is tough enough as it is without even thinking of clearing the loop...!

That is awesome man! Congrats! Now do it without pausing... just kidding. I can't even dream of a cave 2-All.

I can relate to the feeling of clearing something right before the next target is in your hands, makes it that much sweeter.
Happened to me twice recently: got the cyvern 1-ALL the day before Ibara arrived, and now cleared Ibara before SDOJ this week.

Don't get too hung up on Larsa, she's kind of stupid. No shame in panic bombing the final boss. Feel good about your clear!

Honestly the best thing for you right now would probably to start working on a new game to 1cc, if you come back to Futari after working on some other games a bunch you'll have an easier time seeing how your skills have grown. However, if you really want to dominate Futari then by all means keep at it!

It's been a while since I've played Ketsui, but that sounds right. Another weird thing about the 360 version of DOJ is that my replays seem to randomly disappear from the leaderboards (it's not just me either, several other people are missing replays). Not sure what causes that.

Anyway, thanks guys. Now I just need to clear it on a good run...

Doesn't the server owners do scheduled clean-up of the leaderboards, or isn't that supposed to happen at all?

On the other Cave games, the score needs to be on a specific rank on the list for a replay to be uploaded and saved...

I think you need to be in the top 20 to upload a replay, and once you upload something, it's supposed to be there forever even if you lose your position. The thing is, sometimes I'd upload a new score along with the replay, and it might sit on the leaderboards for a while, but it disappears sooner or later. The same thing has been happening to hinanaihentai recently (top White Label player with B-L) as far as I can tell.

I'm guessing there's some bug where the game is trying to upload a run where you couldn't beat your top score, so it fails and leaves you with nothing. :|
