I'm not new to the internet, or posting in forums. Regardless of post count here, I was still right. "In Internet slang, a troll (pron.: /ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages." Hey look, they were all three of those. Can we please talk about "DoDonPachi Saidaioujou" on Xbox 360 now?
48 pages in this thread, and now you join to police it's content and point to other trollers?
Trollers beget trollers I guess.
Welcome to shmups farm Zurcamos. We tend to fill the empty space in the threads with nothing but trolling, because there's often very little to actually talk about, such is the anaemic state of our beloved genre. There's only so many days you can keep saying to each other "hey guy, DDP SDOJ is coming to 360!", until you get bored and decide to flame the shit out of each other instead. It's a code, let your initiation begin.
Well, it looks like Cave's been busy blowing someone at Enterbrain. Saidaioujou got 9,8,8,8 in Famitsu this week. It was the game of the week for three out of four of the reviewers. The guy that gave it a 9 remarked that the story has been beefed up sunstantially and that the in-game shop where you can buy upgrades (a-la Mars Matrix) is compelling as well

Impressive, shmups don't typically break the 31 points ceiling unless they're Ikaruga, I guess the features and modes they chose to add for this port paid off. Especially if you look at the crap scores they gave to DOJ and DFK, ports with some extra stuff but no story modes or anything big. (26-28 range)

As long as those reviews get more people to buy the games, I'm happy.
I’m getting an uneasy feeling after reading what videogameimports said about possible cuts from their supplier for the SLE. This article
I hope the one I ordered at nin-nin games goes through. They are still accepting pre-orders for the SLE, even though most online places I’ve seen are not accepting them.

If it's really burning your brain that hard, there's a 100% foolproof solution that will put your mind at ease.
Buy a Japanese 360 already. :p
On one hand, the idea of me buying a JP console seems so ridiculous (power to those who are happy doing so), but then I've lurked this site for many years, stressing out over whether titles will be region free or not, which isn't ridiculous at all...

I assume you are safe if you ordered shortly after pre-orders went up.

I came very close a few times in the past, but at this point this is going to be just about the only game I'd need a j360 to play. Arrange modes are cool and all but I know I wouldn't play them enough to justify it.
1CC ListTo miss is human; to rank control, divine.
I'd have already bought a J360 long ago if there were more than 2-3 games I care about that I can't play without one, but since I got into the genre so late (and since region free is a pretty common thing for 360 STGs these days), it's been less essential. I'll probably still end up getting one when prices drop some more, if only to have a backup system.
But yeah, if you've been playing shmups for several years by this point and you find yourself continually hoping for region-free releases year after year, there's probably less excuse to have not picked up a J360 by now.
In either case, I'm holding onto my preorder of SDOJ. I'm 95% sure it's RF, but if it somehow isn't, I guess I'll just be buying a J360 sooner than I thought.
I'm pretty late to be getting on board with this, but I was searching around last night for a way to get a preorder in for one of the LEs somehow. I ended up ordering from nippon-yasan.com in case anyone is interested or missed out on a LE. I'm skeptical if I'll actually get this, but they said it was all good when I emailed them today.
Just registered here. Pre-ordered SDOJ from Play-Asia the second i saw the tweet about it, i'm willing to try my luck with it. This wait is killing me...had to change shipping method from airmail to UPS just to get it a bit sooner. Better be region-free, damn it
I believe they did that since the 'correct' way to romanize it would actually be nippon'ya-san. The apostrophe removes the ambiguity of it being either にっぽんや or にっぽにゃ

Only in modified Hepburn.
So nipponya-san would be traditional Hepburn; nippon-yasan is simply wrong. BTW, what are we even talking about? Like anyone would not understand the "nippon" part
