Ys Seven (PC) - Joyoland bringing it to NA/EU.

Joyoland wishes to enter the Western market, and they've got their PC port of Ys Seven being lined up. They will be using XSEED's PSP translation.

This could be good. Joyoland just needs to tank the SecuROM DRM and use Steamworks CEG instead, or maybe even go with GOG.

TBQH, I'd like to see Ys Seven get a Vita port with Celceta quality visuals later on.

It's weird of Falcom not to contact their publishing partner before going through with this, but XSeed can't really do much about it.

It probably wasn't a huge undertaking to do.

From what I could tell, for a long time it was possible to get a (mostly) English version on PC by installing the Chinese version, and then replacing a few files with ones ripped from the PSP version. Some discussion here from last year.

Not entirely sure if the renderer and such are optimised for PC, although I have not bothered to look into it much. I have two copies of the PSP version and I can use TV-out on my PSP if I feel like it, but more Ys is good news at any rate.

Nice. My YsBox has been lonely for a while. I was wondering if it would ever see another Ys PC release (not that the games on there at present couldn't use a regular re-play every few years)!
