Ginga Force & Eschatos Wonder Pack (June 13)

Qute Corporation started making shooters for the Wonderswan with the Radiant Silvergun tribute Judgement Silversword. They moved on to Xbox 360 this generation with Escahtos and recently released Ginga Force, a sci-fi vertical shooter.

On June 13, you can get Eschatos and Ginga Force together with a soundtrack CD as the Ginga Force & Eschatos Wonder Pack. Eschatos and Ginga Force were released as region free games. You also get Judgement Silversword – Rebirth Edition – and Cardinal Sins which were bonus games in Eschatos, so altogether that’s four Xbox 360 shooters for 8,715 yen ($86).

This announcement seems highly unnecessary when Ginga Force isn't even three months old yet, and Eschatos already received a discounted reprint. I hope Qute isn't getting too desperate for sales.

This is a steal for anyone who doesn't own these games. Like other have mentioned though, it makes me a bit worried about how Qute is doing...

Anybody know if Judgement Silversword will have TATE built in for this release or do you have to download a patch? I have the original Eschatos release but have never been able to the update for JSS Tate because I can't go on xbox live.

Well, that's quite an interesting song title. For those of you that have played the games, are these really the best tracks? Wanted Eschatos but this might just seal the deal on both games for me.

It actually says region free titles bundled together, as in eschatos and ginga force individually being region free. Doesnt mention anything about the bundle itself being region free. play-asia doesnt say its region free.

I just dont want to be in a situation where I buy it and then have to sell it back because it wont work on my console.
So has anyone actually bought and tried it on a NTSC-U/PAL console?

Trust that site if you want but they list other well known region free games as being region locked.

Qute has never released a region locked game, it wouldn't make sense for them to suddenly start with the wonder pack.

Well, you're kinda right on that part, even Bullet Soul mentions it being region locked, when actually, it isn't.

So, does anyone actually have the Wonder Pack and see if it works the same as both releases? Would like to know though...

Give Ginga Force a chance...it will grow on ya. I find story mode to be fun ...but in all fairness I haven't given arcade mode much play yet.
This game has an almost RPG like nature without being blatantly RPG. I guess it's the "grinding" through previous chapters to earn credits to buy cooler weapons.

So did some digging around the qute website.

This things actually a 3-disc set, ginga-force and eschatos game disc + best selection OST cd.
So, I guess this is region free, considering individually they were, being included individually.

CStarFlare: Did you get the game yet and had a chance to try it out?
