Very cool, I just hope they don't start to stink of B.O. after many sweaty Gundam fans have been inside...

Does it spin around and stuff when you're in it?

Holy Toledo!(In honor of Bill King).

One thing I always wonder about is whenever I see US Air Force flight simulation training stuff on TV, the graphics look like crap. I am sure they have stuff like this, where the details are very life-like, but they won't show it to the public.

Ah, the bliss of seeing creativity given room to play.

Wow  That looks very futuristic. Like a miniature IMAX videogame. Stanley Kubrick would have been proud.

thats because the physics are vastly more accurate, individual bullets are modeled, wind currents fuel weight al sorts of weird shit.

No, they don't move, but you can connect 8 of them together, for some 4x4 Gundam action. This was the only other thing at the AM Show besides ESPGaluda II that had a huge queue (that I remember).

Does this uses some kind of advanced technology ?

I always wondered why no one ever did something like that. That's something that's in my mind for years.

Err, besides the contorted screen, I'm not seeing any unheard-of features. This doesn't look very different from the Battletech arcade pods from the mid-90's.

Thanks for those awesome pics, Dave_K!

Any word on wether or not they'll show up here in the states? I know there was a thread earlier that had some pics of this new cab, and I'm pretty sure that I saw Starblade in one of them.

I never liked the hydrolic cabs at all; I figure if you're playing a game as frantic as, say, After Burner II, you've got enough to focus on without being twisted and turned around while you're playing it!

Edit-no wait, that was the O.R.B.S. cab-or are these ones essentially the same thing?

Yep you remembered right, this is the successor to the O.R.B.S. which was debuted in the 2001 AMShow.

Its just advanced/expensive optics. I'm also sure the game graphics were optimized for panoramic display (to compensate for the distortion).

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I prefer the Japanese chicks presenting ATLUS, SEGA, TAITO & CAVE to these pods any day.
Some of them look as if they've come straight out of an Anime/Game/Manga.

ATLUS, TAITO & SEGA sure know how to pick their chicks.

Yeah, one of my biggest worries now a days, is waking up & starring at a completely different looking face (maybe a lot uglier too, with worn-off makeup, smudged all over!) than the one I slept with the night before!

A freaking experience indeed!

Some of the chicks above are quite promising though…

Exactly the way Japanese men like their women.

If it's by Namco, I'd love to see an Ace Combat game run in these mofos.
