Hey Guys
Is there a way to mod the 360's SCART cable so that it can handle 720p? What stops it from sending that signal across the lines? I'd like to run the SCART output from the 360 to a SCART switch. From the SCART switch would be 4 BNCs - R, G, B, and S that would transmit the 720p signal to the multi-sync PVM (and 240p signal from my other consoles).
The PVM can accept a combined H/V sync via a simple t-connector. Maybe I need to use a 360's VGA cable and swap the 360 connector with a SCART connector and wire the two syncs together to SCART sync pin 20?
Is this not technically feasible?
Thanks,
Jim

720 is a form of HD. I believe SCART has capacity for 480i/240p only.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

That's right. Technically the cable would handle it, but the XBox locks to 15khz with a Scart cable and to 31khz and higher with a VGA cable. But given that the XBox can't output 240p anyway and 480i is not the way to go, I would suggest to use a VGA cable instead.

Thanks guys. I think you can spoof the xbox into thinking its outputting via a VGA cable, but its prob. not worth it. I think what I'll do is run a 360 vga cable into a vga->bnc adapter->Extron RGBHV switch & audio switch. I already have a SCART->BNC cable which I'll run from my SCART switch for my other consoles.Fudoh wrote:That's right. Thanks again,
